Lastware PressKit

Get your launch covered.

Enter your website. We find your latest news online, or use what you tell us, and give you an honest verdict on whether it’s a story, a press release built only from facts we checked, the outlets that recently covered companies like yours with a pitch for each, and a timeline back from launch day.

We find your latest news ourselves: your blog, changelog and press pages, and the web.

We read your public website and search the web; what you add is used to write the kit and is not saved. 3 free kits left today.

Questions

Do I have to write my news?

No. We read your site’s blog, changelog and press pages and search the web for what you announced recently, then build the kit for the newest announcement worth a story, quoting its page. The other announcements we found are listed, so you can switch. If your news isn’t online yet, write it in “Anything to add” and the kit is built for that instead; anything else you add there (numbers, a customer, a quote) is used too.

What’s in the kit?

An honest verdict on whether your news is a story and what reporters will ask for; a press release written only from facts we found in your notes, your announcement or your site, with blanks where you need to add something; outlets (publications, trade press, newsletters, podcasts) that recently covered your company, a competitor or your beat, each with the piece that shows it and a pitch email written for them; and a timeline back from launch day: exclusive, pitches, one follow-up, launch, thanks.

How do I know the facts are right?

Every fact quotes your notes, the announcement or a page of your site, and we check each quote word for word. Quotes we can’t find are flagged, and so is any number in the release that appears in neither. The release only uses those facts; anything else (a city, a customer, the founder quote) is left as a [blank] for you to fill.

Where does the media list come from?

Live web searches for recent coverage of your company, your competitors and your beat. We only list links the searches returned, open each one to check it, and name a writer only when their page shows the name. It’s a starting list, not a database of journalists’ emails: find the right person and their address on the outlet’s site.

Will they cover me?

Nobody can promise that, and we don’t. Most launches are small news; the verdict says so when yours is, and what would make it stronger. A personal pitch to someone who covers your beat, with a real number and a customer, is the best chance you have.

Is what I add stored?

No. Your notes and your site are used to build the kit, kept in memory for an hour so you can unlock without a re-run, then gone. We only record anonymous counts (how many kits, which verdict).

What do I get for free?

Three kits a day, each with the verdict, the full release, the timeline, the facts and the first 3 outlets with their pitches. A one-time $0.99 unlocks every outlet with its pitch and unlimited kits, forever. No subscription.

Can I build something like this?

Yes. It runs on Contextrie (open-source context and state) and Bref UI (open-source interface). Both are on GitHub.

Open-source context and state for AI: it keeps only what matters for the question.
